Mirastar has secured a pair of prelets at its £60m Catalyst logistics development in Sheffield, React News can reveal.
Catalyst is now 50% prelet following the two deals at the scheme fronting Sheffield Parkway.
The larger of the two deals is JLA Group, which has taken a 109,166 sq ft unit ahead of practical completion. The company, which supplies and maintains commercial equipment for areas such as fire safety, heating and catering, is expanding into a new premises following significant business growth.
Cosentino, a worktop manufacturer, has also taken 33,608 sq ft at the site.
Mirstar struck a £60m forward-funding deal for the project in April last year with developers Premcor and Peveril Securities.
The three remaining units are being marketed by Knight Frank, Gent Visick and M1. Each unit at Catalyst is targeting an EPC A rating and a minimum BREEAM rating of Very Good.
Industrial occupiers in the area already include Tufnells, Great Bear, University of Sheffield Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre (AMRC), UK Atomic Energy Authority (UK AEA) and University of Sheffield Factory 2050.
Rebecca Schofield, partner and head of the Yorkshire industrial team at Knight Frank, said: “Catalyst offers quality of space, but also the presence and access on to The Parkway, one’s of Sheffield’s main arterial routes.
“The market continues to show good demand for modern, highly specified and sustainable space for occupiers wanting growth or relocation opportunities, plus the opportunity to tap into excellent labour resources in the region.”
