Mirastar is on the hunt for occupiers for Air, a 142,500 sq ft industrial scheme in Merseyside, after striking a forward-funding deal for the scheme, React News can reveal.
The scheme, due to complete in the first quarter of next year, was forward-purchased by Mirastar from Marshall CDP; Savills and B8 have now been appointed to find a tenant.
Air, which is next to Liverpool John Lennon airport in Speke, includes two units of 80,000 sq ft and 62,500 sq ft with 12m eaves height, and targets a BREEAM Excellent rating.
Mirastar is understood to be pushing ahead with the scheme due to a lack of high-quality small to medium-sized industrial units in the area, along with increased occupier demand for buildings with strong ESG credentials.
Mirastar is also on board to bring forward a second phase of the project which is currently going through the planning process.
The area around the airport is one of Liverpool city region’s logistics hotspots, with nearby occupiers including B&M, the Very Group and Sainsbury’s. Estuary Business Park, home to the likes of Kier, also sits nearby.
